Spoleto Festival USA

Where: Various locations in Charleston

Spoleto Festival USA is one of America’s major performing arts festivals. It was founded in 1977 by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Gian Carlo Menotti, who sought to establish a counterpart to the Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy. The 17-day event transforms Charleston into an exhilarating celebration of performing, literary and visual arts.

RiverDogs Minor League Baseball

When: April - September

Where: Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park

Charleston Farmers Market

When: Saturdays, April 8-November 25, 2023

Where: Marion Square-329 Meeting Street

You will find a variety of local produce, plants, herbs, and cut flowers, as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment, and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans every Saturday at the Market.

2nd Sunday On King Street

When: Every month on the second Sunday from 12-5 pm

Where: King Street from Queen to Calhoun Street

Enjoy exploring Kings Street without traffic! You will find carefully curated artists showing their work on the street, unique food vendors, and other surprises! Enjoy discovering shops you might not have noticed before!

High Tide Festival

Where: Riverfront Park, 1061 Everglades Ave., North Charleston, SC

When: June 3, 2023 | 12-10:30 pm

High Tide offers unforgettable coastal experiences with top DJs and art, culinary, and drink options. Celebrate life with friends and make lifelong memories in a stunning setting. Enjoy a day of coastal vibes and sun-drenched skies. High Tide is an adults-only (21+) event.

Wine on the Piazza

When: Thursday, June 15, 2023, 4:30 pm-6:00 pm

Where: Wine on the Piazza

Those taking part will get to enjoy a glass of wine, spectacular views of the Charleston harbor, and a self-guided tour of this historic Charleston home. Tickets for this relaxing evening start at $30 per person.

Live at Firefly

When: June 16, 18, 24, & 29, 2023

Where: Edmondston- Alston House, 21 East Battery, Charleston

Firefly Distillery is hosting a stellar lineup of concerts beginning in May with tickets on sale now. As Firefly’s outdoor venue in Park Circle is bringing big names like Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Fleet Foxes, and Shakey Graves this year. Enjoy American blended whiskey cocktails at the new Bend & Steal Whiskey bar or local food truck fare. All ages are welcome with General Admission and VIP ticket options. Bring blankets, but no dogs, outside food or drink, or chairs. Clear bags only and concerts happen rain or shine. The Distillery closes at 3 p.m. on concert dates.

Halsey After Hours

When: June 21, 2023 | 5-7 pm

Where: The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, 161 Calhoun Street, Charleston

The Halsey is hosting a happy hour event called Halsey After Hours, which is open to both members and non-members. Guests can enjoy drinks while admiring the current Carla Gannis / C.A.R.L.A. G.A.N.: wwwunderkammer exhibition, have the opportunity to meet Halsey staff and advisory board members, and take a memorable photo with the famous moon from the Halsey’s Moon Party. Admission is free for members, while non-members will be asked to make a $10 donation at the door.

Vienna Light Orchestra Tribute to Broadway & The Greatest Showman

When: June 24, 2023 | 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm

Where: SC Society Hall, 72 Meeting St., Charleston

Experience a memorable evening at the Vienna Light Orchestra’s Broadway tribute concert. Hear favorites from Mary Poppins, Man of La Mancha, Phantom of the Opera, and The Greatest Showman. With vocalists, soloists, and a variety of instruments, this show is part theatre and part orchestral performance. Over 2,000 candlelights add to the mesmerizing atmosphere.
