38th Annual Progressive Dinner 2023-SOLD OUT!
A much-beloved holiday tradition is back this November & December. For the 38th and final year, Circa 1886 Restaurant and Charming Inns will play host to the “Charleston Holiday Progressive Dinner”, a festive evening where diners journey by carriage.
Price: $140 per person
*inclusive of carriage, tax, and gratuity (excludes beverages)

Guests are invited to start the evening with hors d’oeuvres at historic Kings Courtyard Inn at 198 King Street, travel by carriage to Circa 1886 Restaurant at 149 Wentworth Street for a three-course dinner, and wind down on a carriage to the historic John Rutledge House Inn at 116 Broad Street for coffee and dessert. Hors d’oeuvres start at 5:15 p.M. And the evening wraps up at 8:30 p.M. A carriage will transport guests from one location to the next. This is a communal seating event. Guests will be assigned seats at each location and on each carriage. The progressive dinner is a rain-or-shine event.

Circa 1886 travels back in time this holiday season to retell a classic Christmas story. At our 21st annual Dickens Dinner, storyteller Tim Lowry takes guests to Victorian England for a lively retelling of English novelist Charles Dickens’ beloved novella, “A Christmas Carol.” The performance is accompanied by a four-course dinner inspired by the novel, prepared by Chef Marc Collins.
The cost is $120.00 per person plus gratuity, tax, and beverages.
