The bar at Circa 1886 Restaurant is an intimate Charleston cocktail bar in historic downtown, known for handcrafted seasonal cocktails, curated wines, and its historic carriage house setting.
Located inside the original 1880s carriage house on the grounds of Wentworth Mansion®, the space is defined by historic heart pine floors and a flickering stone fireplace—a space that captures the timeless spirit of the ‘Holy City’.

Summer Happy Hour
Experience Charleston’s favorite retreat with our seasonal summer happy hour. From 5-7 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, April 6 through August 31, guests can enjoy a curated selection of wines and classic house spirits (including standard gin or vodka martinis) paired with light bar snacks for $10. Enjoy happy hour at the bar, or order at the bar and then toast the evening on the patio with a view of Wentworth Mansion®.

Hours & Reservations: The bar and dining rooms are open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Reservations within the bar are available for one banquette table or up to three high-top tables—perfect for intimate gatherings or a relaxed start to the evening.
