Taking place on the first Friday of most months, the Artwalk is a fantastic way to meet new people, discover local artists, and find the perfect art piece for your home. Participants have the ability to create their own Artwalk route using the CGA website’s “Charleston Gallery Association Map.” There is no cost of admission to this event.

Celebrate the legacy of Claude Monet at Monet & Mimosas, a special member program at the Gibbes Museum of Art. Held every second Sunday during the Impression, Monet exhibition, the experience includes mimosas followed by a guided tour exploring Monet’s landscapes and his lasting influence on modern and American art.

This four-day Hands on with History course explores Charleston’s historic material culture through interactive classroom and field-based learning. Led by Drayton Hall’s Curatorial staff, the program offers participants an accessible introduction to understanding the significance of historic architecture, landscapes, ceramics, glass, and other tangible remnants of the past.

The Night Shift invites guests to explore the fascinating world of nocturnal pollinators at the Mulberry Food Forest. Hosted by Charleston Parks Conservancy, the free evening features a discussion on bats, moths, beetles, and the plants they rely on, followed by a hands-on bat box decorating activity. Registration is required and space is limited.

The Charleston Museum invites guests to the Dill Sanctuary for a sunset experience over the Stono River. Enjoy a guided tour of Battery Pringle with Chief Curator Jennifer McCormick, then relax with picnics, blankets, and BYOB as you take in the 580-acre wildlife preserve—perfect for a date night, friends’ outing, or a peaceful evening after work.

The 3rd Annual Green Market Night brings together Charleston’s conservation community at Commonhouse Aleworks for an evening of conversation, connection, and local shopping. Guests can meet sustainable businesses, learn about environmental initiatives, and shop with vendors who prioritize sustainable practices.

Acclaimed authors and cultural commentators Ekemini Uwan and Dr. Christina Edmondson discuss faith, identity, belonging, and liberation in a conversation inspired by their book Truth’s Table: Black Women’s Musings on Life, Love, and Liberation. The evening concludes with a book signing and opportunity to meet the authors.

This beginner-friendly needlepoint workshop introduces participants to the basics through hands-on instruction and a take-home starter kit. Guests will begin their custom canvas during the workshop and can continue stitching at their own pace afterward. Participants must be 18 or older.

Guests are invited to sway to the rhythm of the music and enjoy ocean breezes at the Folly Beach Pier during one of the beloved Moonlight Mixers, an evening of dancing under the stars by the sea.

Pickle Palooza III: A Briny Bash returns September 18–20 for a full weekend of pickle-themed fun. The Southeast’s largest pickle festival features food and artisan vendors, live music, pickle competitions, pickleball activities, and a pickle-inspired brunch to close out the weekend.

The Charleston Jazz Orchestra presents Piano Legends, a celebration of the iconic pianists who shaped the evolution of jazz from Ragtime to Modern Fusion. Featuring four standout members of Charleston’s jazz piano community, the performance will spotlight the styles and innovations of legends including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Thelonious Monk, and Bill Evans.

Guests can enjoy a peaceful morning at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens featuring a gentle yoga flow beneath the live oaks followed by a leisurely Lowcountry brunch. The experience includes a yogurt parfait bar, charcuterie brunch samplings, refreshments, and mimosas for guests 21 and over.

Keep Charleston Beautiful hosts a community cleanup along the Ashley River at Northbridge Park as part of South Carolina’s Beach Sweep/River Sweep. Volunteers of all ages can help remove litter and debris from local waterways, with supplies provided.

Chef James Moore leads an interactive pasta-making class focused on taking the next step beyond the basics. Participants will learn how to create a delicious stuffed pasta and sauce from scratch, building on skills learned in Pasta 101.

The USS Yorktown Foundation and Westbrook Brewing Co. celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and Patriots Point’s 50th anniversary with an evening of trivia, local beer, and friendly competition. MOJA Arts Festival is an annual celebration of Black arts and culture and the related artistic contributions to the world, especially through African American and Caribbean legacies.

Drayton Hall at Night offers members a special after-hours experience with live lawn music, self-guided house tours, and insights from Drayton Hall archaeologists. Bluegrass, BBQ & Brews at Magnolia offers an afternoon of Southern tradition, live bluegrass, and fall fun in the Lowcountry. Guests can sample BBQ and local craft beers while enjoying live music from the Green Levels beneath Magnolia’s historic oaks.

Home Team BBQ celebrates 20 years with an evening of live music at The Refinery featuring Paul Cauthen, SCAM Allstars, Workhorses of the Entertainment/Recreation Industry, and Mac Leaphart & Reid Stone. The celebration honors two decades of barbecue, music, and community.

Movie Night in the Park brings free outdoor cinema to American Gardens every Thursday from September 3 through October 29. Guests can arrive early for local snacks, drinks, and kid-friendly activities before settling in for a 6 p.m. screening under the stars.

You will find a variety of local produce, plants, herbs, and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment, and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans every Saturday at the Market.

Sunday Market at American Gardens invites guests to spend a leisurely Sunday exploring a curated selection of local farms, specialty food vendors, fresh florals, and live music. Taking place every Sunday from September 13 through November 8, the market offers a relaxed way to experience Charleston’s seasonal flavors and blooms.
